Hey I grabbed this the other day. It's really good. It's an old CD from 1994 from Walter Lure who was an integral part of Thunders Heartbreakers. If you like old Heartbreakers and Dolls you'll really like this. If you want to get hooked up with it. PM me.

Oh yeah, this is really good- PARTYrock if anything!
I seem to remember that Michael Monroe is guesting on harp and maybe backing vocals- at least he is on the demo of the album.

Damn...this CD is f&%kin' great! I can't believe I never heard this before. It's really apparent how much a part of the Heartbreakers he was after listening to this. Chris and Carl....you will probably really like this a lot.

i saw The Waldos back when Sami Yaffa was playing bass for them. Honky Toast opened for them at the Continental. Honky Toast = thumbs down

but back to The Waldo's, on the offical release of Rent Party, Mike Monroe plays some harmonica on it. i do have a cd of rough mixes from Coyote Studios where Mike sings back up on some songs.

Jesse Malin from DGen sings back up on the offical release as well.

Wow that would have been cool Bill. Do you know if Walter Lure put out anything else on his own? I know he played on a few of the Ramones albums, but this Waldos band seems to be the only thing he released of his own.

as far as i know, Rent Party is the only "solo" release by Walter. to be honest, i had no idea who the Waldo's were when i went to see them, i just got an email saying that Sami would be playing at the Continental so we went. we got to hang out with him (Sam) that night as well, seemed like a really nice guy. he seemed genuinely appreciative that someone remembered Hanoi Rocks and that i'd drive to the city to see him.

but as for The Waldo's and Walter, i don't really know much about that.

Yeah, I saw them once at The Continental in New York. But that was years & years ago,no Sami that time. Didn't think that much of them at the time, guess cos I didnt even recognise them, hehe. First I just thought: Who are these old guys in normal jeans, and I bet that Waldo's look helluva lot better. Ermh, hehe, not, cos it was actually the Waldo's I was watching.Oops.lol

<font size="4" face="Arial">"Rent party" is the only album that The Waldos have done. 7" single "Crazy Little Baby/ Cry Baby" came out in 1991 on Baylor Records- I think that those two are the only releases. Walter is buys, as he is working in Wall Street...

Yes, I have those rough mixes from "Rent Part" too, not demos.
